Only NY New Items for Summer 2010

Only NY have been busy lately. They have released several new items for the 2010 Spring/Summer season, like the “fish tank,”. As always, meticulous care was put into the design and execution of this piece. After designing it, the brand had to go to 3 different screen printers, before they found one that could get it just right, according to Only’s specs and quality expectations. The fish tank, comes in various colorways, as well as in a regular printed tee.

Bo Jackson is still a big part of Nike Training today, but let’s look back at one of his classics – the Nike Air Trainer Max ‘91. This shoe is indeed a Sneaker News favorite, as it was featured in our Classics Revisited segment, and this second retro of the grey/yellow colorway should be a real treat for Trainer fans.

We at Crooks & Castles have always routed for the villain whether it be in a movie, a comic book, a novel, a rap song or everyday life. Growing up in Los Angeles during the 80's & 90's we became a part of this villainous lifestyle. Gangs were everywwhere - the hood, the city, even middle suburbia. Most had no choice but to adapt to the environment. Some were able to escape or even channel what they've learned on the street into something lucrative. What caught our attention in the mid 90's was independent fashion/graphic brands. After years of learning the in's & out's of the business by starting a brand without any knowledge of how to start or run a clothing company, we've finally come to this... "Crooks & Castles"! The concept was easy. "Crooks", criminals, pimps, hustlers, thieves, etc. And "Castles" those who got rich by becoming a crook. From the robber barons of the early times like the vanderbilts, the rockefellers, the carnegies to the modern day billionaires - Bill Gates & Microsoft. Those who stopped at nothing to get their "Castle". We too hope one day to be the next rich crook. In some of our designs you might see a familiar icon or logo that we took (stole) and gave it our own twist. We felt that some high fashion brands only catered to someone in a certain lifestyle or with a rather large bank account. Therefore we took what they made and crafted it to fit ours. In all honesty... who cares. We just really wanted to make some... Hot Shit! We thank you for supporting Crooks & Castles. Please keep supporting the Crooks and we'll keep servin up some hot shit!!

Mishka

Mishka clothing, based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is a street wear brand that references any and all things that its creators have been inspired by: the underground punk/hardcore/post-hardcore & skate scenes of the 80's, heavy metal 7” indie rock, horror, comics, B-movies and pop culture in general. In the end, just as it was in the beginning, anything goes with Mishka. With the success of Mishka's graphic T-shirts, the brand was able to expand its line to a full collection ranging from denim, outerwear, knits, sweatshirts and accessories that are available worldwide at only the finest of shops.

DTA Clothing

The best thing about DTA clothing is that their design has gone through the streets, colleges and high schools. It has matured and they are providing the most street credible clothing that there is. DTA Clothing has a name that derives from the words Don’t Trust Anything Posse, and they are a clothes manufacturer that has been around as long as from the year 1991 and they have formed a group of same minded people that design the clothes in an urban and modern style.

D Double E is one of the best known MCs in the grime scene, due to the fact he is regarded as a veteran in the scene, as well as for having a distinctive flow and style.
Now Bringing His Latest Hit Streetfigter. His inspiration for this tune was, simply he and the mandem play loads of old school games and one of the favorites was Streetfighter.

Snapback hats have developed a cult following in the world of sportswear apparel. A fitted cap is great, but there’s just something special about a classic hat like this. Gotta love the snapback hats of the previous decades. You can’t deny the freshness of these. Ol’ school team logos and colors, contrast color brim and eyelets, green under-brim. One size fits all. Street wear is a distinctive style of fashion not to be confused with Hip Hop Fashion. Its roots are in skateboarding and the "skatewear" of the 1980s. It was later adopted as an urban fashion in Japan before growing to an international business. An important element to the style is vintage or vintage-style sneakers.

Artists find inspiration in some of the strangest place. However, the end product is usually unique and pushes the envelope just enough to open up our minds. Artist Todd Bratrud has taken that exact approach on a pair of Nike Hi Dunks, dubbed “Skunk”.
These Dunks are so rare now that they have increased their value from 70£ to 130£+ and growing.
If you do find a pair don't hold back, it's a good investment and they style is just nuts.!
